We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead the design of our mobile and web applications. In this role, you will expand the feature set, improve current workflows, redesign the mobile and web applications, create a process for ongoing user feedback, and define design patterns to be used across products. Our ideal candidate has a keen sense for good design, a passion for solving customer pain points, and is an expert at creating elegant and simple user experiences from complex workflows. You should have strong communication skills, and the ability to think conceptually while also focusing on crucial details.

Requirements:
5+ years of experience designing features for web and mobile apps (iOS and Android)
A compelling portfolio of production work that demonstrates design thinking, interaction design, and visual design skills
Experience in all phases of the design process including user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design, and usability testing. Comfortable speaking directly to users to identify user needs and behaviors
Systems thinking, including the ability to consider the potential interactions between different users, features, and processes to design a holistic solution
Deep understanding of UX/UI patterns. You can leverage design layout, typography, and visual hierarchy effectively to improve the overall experience.
Experience leading user experience design across desktop web, mobile web, and mobile apps
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to present and articulate design reasoning with stakeholders and work through implementation details with product and engineering teams
Effective at juggling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced and dynamic start-up environment
Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams across different time zones

Nice to haves:
Experience managing other designers
Additional user research experience is a plus

Lead user experience design across web and mobile apps
Design simple, elegant, data-driven, user-centric experiences that delight users and meet business objectives
Maintain visual and brand consistency across all products
Conduct user interviews and research to better understand customer needs, and synthesize that data into actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners and senior executives (across product, engineering, marketing, operations, and sales) to solve problems, shape the roadmap, and create solutions that our customers love.
Deeply understand the perspectives and pain points of homeowners and tenants, and use them to inform product direction
Leverage design principles, frameworks, and best practices to improve the product and user experience
