NextSilicon is looking for a talented and experienced team lead to help build and lead a team in our SW division, building an innovative multidisciplinary computing system. In this role you will bridge the gap between architecture, software, and hardware, creating a full SW stack including toolchain, driver, and runtime optimization SW while dealing with innovative and challenging system architecture. In this unique and highly visible role you will be at the center of developing and delivering parts of the company’s SW stack.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Lead a team of junior and senior software engineers
Define feature development scope and plan for successful product delivery
Manage multiple activities and priorities
Set expectations with software, architecture, and hardware stakeholders
Balance high-quality product delivery under extremely tight schedules with fostering long-term innovation
Act as a technical leader when design directions are unclear
Navigate and solve engineering problems when team members have, as well as conflicting points of view
Strengthen and grow the team by hiring and retaining top engineering talent
3+ years of managerial experience and 8+ years of software engineering experience
Leadership and excellent collaboration skills
Strong knowledge of processor architecture
Previous experience with compilers, kernel, drivers, and ARM and x86 assembly languages is an advantage
Strong coding skills in C and C++ programming languages
Strong design and analytical skills
Passion for low-level design, computer science, and software engineering design
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and/or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field is preferred
