Urbanico is growing and we are on the lookout for a world-class senior software engineer to join our urban data revolution! At Urbanico, we’re developing a next-gen urban intelligence platform for urban areas, providing financial institutions with a digital twin of urban risks. Using Urbanico allows our customers to dive 150X deeper into the most significant urban risks, from crime incidents through fire events all the way to car accidents and much more!

Responsibilities:
Lead the software and data engineering aspects of Urbanico’s platform.
Serve as a main point of expertise for the entire R&D team.
Develop new methodologies for ingesting data from traditional and non-traditional sources, both structured and unstructured.
Managing big data transformation workflows, mainly with tabular datasets.

Play a key role in the development of Urbanico’s product, directly under Urbanico’s CTO.

Requirements:
BSc in computer science (or equivalent).
5+ years of professional experience as a software/data engineer.
Proficiency in Python and pandas (And the scientific python ecosystem).
Super talented engineer who loves to get their hands “dirty”. We’re looking for a person who loves to dig in and learn while doing.
Independent, autodidact and excited about learning new technologies with a can-do approach. Every team member plays a critical role as we’re constantly looking for innovative ways to disrupt our landscape, internally and externally.
Fun and determined individual, motivated by team success with a good attitude under pressure.
Knowledge in ML/DL and experience working with NLP algorithms - advantage!
Experience with cloud environments, dockers, and Kubernetes - advantage!
